What is an eSIM? ▼
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM built into your phone. You download a data plan by scanning a QR code or entering activation details — no plastic SIM to swap.

Buying & checkout
Do I need an account to buy? ▼
No — guest checkout is available. Create a free account to manage orders, re-download QR codes, top up data, and request support faster.
What payment methods are accepted? ▼
Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, mobile money, and other methods depending on your region. All checkout is encrypted.
How fast is delivery? ▼
Instant. After payment is confirmed, your eSIM QR code appears on screen and is emailed — usually within seconds.
Can I buy for someone else? ▼
Yes. Use the traveler’s email at checkout so they receive the QR code directly, or forward the email after purchase.
Device compatibility
Which phones support eSIM? ▼
Most iPhone XS and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20+, Google Pixel 3+, and many other modern devices. See our full compatibility list before buying.
Does my phone need to be unlocked? ▼
Yes. Carrier-locked phones cannot install a travel eSIM. On iPhone: Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock should show “No SIM restrictions”.
Can I use eSIM and my regular SIM together? ▼
Yes on dual-SIM devices. Keep your home SIM for calls/SMS and use the travel eSIM for mobile data abroad.
How do I check eSIM support quickly? ▼
Dial *#06# on your phone. If you see an EID number, your device supports eSIM.
Installation & activation
How do I install my eSIM? ▼
Scan the QR code from your order confirmation email or account dashboard. iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM. Android: Settings → SIM manager → Add eSIM.
Can I install without scanning a QR code? ▼
Yes — use manual install with the SM-DP+ address and activation code shown on your order page.
When should I install the eSIM? ▼
You can install before you travel. Enable the eSIM line and data roaming when you arrive at your destination.
Does installing start my plan immediately? ▼
It depends on the plan. Some plans start at installation; others start at first network use. Check your plan details at purchase.
Using your eSIM
Does the travel eSIM replace my phone number? ▼
No. The travel eSIM is typically data-only. Your main number stays on your physical SIM.
Can I top up data during my trip? ▼
Yes, for supported plans. Open your order in your Simkoa account and choose Top up if available.
How do I check my eSIM status? ▼
View your order in the dashboard — Sim status shows whether your eSIM is pending, installed, or active.
What if my eSIM does not connect? ▼
Confirm data roaming is on, the eSIM line is enabled, and you are in a covered country. Contact support with your order number if issues persist.
Cancellations & refunds
Can I cancel my order? ▼
You may request cancellation before the eSIM profile is activated. Once installed or activated on a device, cancellation is not possible.
What is your refund policy? ▼
Refunds are available for eligible orders that have not been installed or activated. See our Refund Policy for full details.
How do I request a refund? ▼
Open your order in your account and click Request refund, or contact support with your order number and reason.
How long do refunds take? ▼
Approved refunds are processed within 5–14 business days depending on your payment method.

Sign in to your account and open the order, or use Track order with your order ID and email.
Can I transfer my eSIM to another phone? ▼
Most eSIM profiles can only be installed once. If you need a new device, contact support before reinstalling.
